Play!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been feeling less than creative for the past few weeks so I decided to get a head\u00a0 start on one of the projects that I planned on doing in January.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to try the charcoal technique from a video I posted on the 14th of this month, so I prepped a canvas, grabbed my charcoal, rubber stamps and began to create the painting below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1080\" title=\"The Tree Song\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rosearizmendi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/treesongbirdfini.jpg\" alt=\"The Tree Song\" width=\"323\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rosearizmendi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/treesongbirdfini.jpg 323w, https:\/\/www.rosearizmendi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/treesongbirdfini-234x300.jpg 234w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 323px) 100vw, 323px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Tree Song &#8211; Acrylic\/Mixed Media &#8211; 8 x 10 Canvas<\/p>\n<p>After I had applied the stamps and charcoal to the canvas, I began sketching\u00a0 and painting the woman&#8217;s face and the bird, and then added a tree and music notation.<\/p>\n<p>What fun!
