Through out the years, I have continued working in many areas of art including painting,\u00a0 sculpting, collage, mixed media, ceramics, and photography.<\/p>\n

Currently, I am focused on alternative photography processes, and love creating dreamlike,\u00a0 less literal images on the iPhone. I’ve simply transferred traditional art skills and photography techniques of creating textured, multi~layered artwork to my iPhone device. I love the freedom and spontaneity that this technology allows.<\/p>\n

As an introduction, I work using a wide variety of materials, from acrylics, watercolors, pastels to oils but much of my work is hand-painted digitally using a Wacom pen, tablet and Corel Painter. Most of the digital paintings are created by applying coats of digital paint on successive layers, and in the end merging all the layers onto the background.<\/p>\n

My fascination with multicultural traditions, spirituality, legends, fairy tales, and myth have developed into a personal mythology, constantly evolving and expressed through my art . The writing of Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, Marija Gimbutas, Clarissa Pinkola-Estes have also influenced my work as I explore archetypes, dreams and my life experiences.<\/p>\n
